Bobby Epling is currently a professor of Sports Administration at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida.
His Ph.D. is in cultural foundations of sport from the University of Tennessee (with an emphasis in sport history), where his doctoral dissertation examined the racial desegregation of SEC football, the first such scholarly work to do so.
Additionally, he is a freelance sportswriter with primary interests in big-time college football and general sports history. His most recent work was with Gridiron Now during 2017-18, where he wrote on the Georgia Bulldogs. The Campus Game website is a repository of original blog posts, along with copies of columns from freelance work. He’ll soon be adding the Gridiron Now pieces.
